Glynis early sacrifice backfired but it looked like George's enterprising play would level before a miscalculation made it 0-2. However the home side's top 3 were all better and pushing to win. Alas board 1 petered out then Michael mishandled his winning position offering the draw to cede the match when material levelled out. Ian played on to win on time. John converted his early advantage with a nice win which he controlled throughout.
